I'll be there with red ZLE along with two friends (white c7 and silver e46 m3.) The white c7 will be with me in Intermediate, e46 m3 buddy will be in advanced.
usually try to grab outer spots along the straight between turn 1 and turn 2, near the main buildings.Nice, I’ll keep an eye out for you. I’ll be in the white charger. Where do you normally make your pit?

Was a fun event with great weather. Was your friend in the blue E46 in advanced? I was running the black Scat Pack
was a silver E46, and yeah he was in advanced
Yesterday turned out to be a pretty great day. Was going back and forth with a dude in a white ZL1 that was sending it for the full 30 minute session. Sadly I hit the wrong button and didn't fire up the PDR but dude said he knocked off a couple 2:40.xx laps while we were going back and forth which if I had recorded it would have been a new personal best. The best I had recorded on my PDR was another 2:43.xx
That just means you need Castrol SRF.Thats awesome. I did my PB yesterday as well, 2:40.27
Unfortunately I also found out that you CAN boil Motul RBF600 if you try hard enough.

Guys at RA boil brake fluid all the time, even RBF600. I think without a doubt, every single instructor ran Castrol SRF. Highest boiling point, highest wet-boiling point. Highest price.
And I can stomach a pretty high price if it means the difference between "Oh Shit Wall!!!" and Driving Home with Brown Shorts.
For sure. I typically ran SRF but this time just happened to have some Motul laying around and threw it in. Unfortunately, it seems that the temperatures generated by these Carbotech pads are just a bit much.
Put one of my Laps up on YouTube. This was about the sixth lapp and my brakes weren’t feeling great at this point, the next lap is where the pedal went soft into turn 11. Next time I mount the camera here I’ll try a wide angle because some of the corners get cut off.
Open to suggestions on how to improve. This was a 03:00.93 laptime.
Yeah, you need a flush. If the pedal feel returns to normal, you could probably let it go, but its never again good for track work.I assume if I boiled the fluid I should change it out right?
This is where my brakes went to shit ?
I don't know about you, but if I had to go that deep into a corner just to keep the car on track I'd probably back off for a bit and take a breather.
Had it happen in the ST a few times I pushed it at RA. Usually either turn 5 or turn 8 being that they come after some big downhill braking zones.
Yeah, I could see that happening. You dump a bunch of heat into the rotors, and back off, but while at speed its got enough airflow to keep the heat from soaking into the fluid more. But then when you slow down the reduced airflow allows more heat to soak into the calipers/fluid.Yeah, I backed way off after I passed that car and got off the track. It was weird, the brakes felt like they came back pretty quick, but then I got off the track and cruised around the paddock they went to shit again. I’m guessing cause they got really hot without the air cooling them down. It took like five minutes of putting around until I had a solid pedal feel.

I was boiling everything yesterday. Definitely had a bit of a brown pants moment going into turn 11 where the pedal went really soft around my 6th or 7th lap. Also running the motul 600. My coolant was boiling as well on the line that returns to the top of he reservoir.

That's a wickedly impressive lap for a Charger. Got any video to back it up?
And RBF is garbage. Not at all surprised to hear you cooked it. I used to be sponsored by Motul years ago, got all kinds of free Motul fluid... I bailed on running their RBF. (They make great oil though...)
SRF (if you can find it nowadays) or Endless are really the only two options worth it especially once you've made it to the "intermediate" group.
