Mike and I headed out to the range yesterday to do some long(er) distance work with out .308s.

Brought my SR25 ECR 20" to ladder some loads and the 308 Barrett MRAD. Here's a shot Mike snuck of me of me shooting some ladders. The thingy on the Barrel is a MagnetoSpeed Chronograph.

Mike did some work with his 308 Maten build and custom 700

Great day and thanks, Mike!

200yds is still plenty, IMO. Only difference in 200 vs 300 vs 500 vs 600 is making windage calls and paying more attention. Plinking 223 at 500/600 is an art though, 308 probably is easier with the heavier bullet. And I need to get back into it.

How much is the membership? :io:

This was the 200 yrd range. Unfortunately the 600 is for members only, not allowed to bring guests on it.

That and you must prove yourself/certify for 600 so the rounds aren't hitting the ground skipping over the berm , I used to go there once a month for practical rifle, and wondering why I am no long going once a month :eek:bama:
