I bought one filter from rock Auto (box on the left) and two others from eBay which ended up coming from someplace in China. The china boxes are a bit different sized, and the filters are not plastic wrapped individually like the rockauto version. Are these actual Ford products? IMG_20220712_094849117.jpg

I can't really tell what the filter media is like on the bigger filters, but once again no number stamped on the china filter. The rockauto one shows made in USA on it.

The china filter is about.030" shorter and the outside diameter of the fuel opening is about .040" smaller. Inside looks to be the same diameter.

I'm going to guess it's undersized because they needed it to get closer to metric dimensions?
It's either that or they reverse engineered one and machined the mold to the sizes and forgot about the fact that plastic shrinks as it cools from the molding process and so the parts are slightly smaller than they should be

It's not subsidized, and hasn't been for a couple years. It's only subsidized when it costs more to grow the crop than the farmer can sell it for.
