Been on my iPhone 11 Pro Max since fall of 2019 I think, longest I've gone without updating my phone. I was the "upgrade every year" guy for a long time until the 6iphone 6 came out, then I went to every other year.

Battery on mine is still good, but it's at 82% max capacity, not bad for heavy daily use for 3 years.

Same as you. Waiting to see what this one will be, but may even hold off another year.

I'm on an SE 2020 and the battery life is terrible. I'd like to get a 14 Pro, but I seriously doubt it's going to be USB-C (I'm sick of the 15 year old lightning tech). If by some remarkable chance it does have USB-C, then I'll likely get it.

If not, then hoping the announcement of new phones will drop the prices of the current 13's. More so, would like for one of the major carriers to want to get rid of their "old" stock and offer up 13's as an enticement to change carriers.

Not really holding my breath though.

I'm pretty sure it's going to have USB-C. My iPad Air that I got last year has it. I won't be surprised if it goes that way.

I wouldn't be so sure. Even the EU is pushing for Apple to go USB-C on their phones. I don't think they've had enough time to respond to that. It's dumb too. USB-C on their tablets (Air, Mini, Pro), all of their laptops, but NOT their phones. Cause I want to shoot 30 minutes of 4K video in ProRes then wait two hours for it to copy to my Studio via lightning or Air Drop.

Would also be nice if they brought back TouchID. Doesn't have to be a circular home button reader like in the past, or TTS (Through The Screen). Just do it with the wake/sleep button like on the iPad Air and Mini. Works great. They already have the tech.

Considering how Google continues to push out mediocre Pixel phones (theyve gone downhill since the Pixel 2 - and I'm a diehard Pixel fan)....Apple just needs to push out a phone that works with solid updates and it will be a big win.
I think alot of people were like me and upgraded early on until the 10/11 came out. The yearly versions didn't have as many worthwhile updates as the early iPhones did. That's why I never upgraded from the 11 Pro Max to the 12 or 13.

seems like google is more concerned going a volume android phone than trying to make something super high end.

I normally like to stay on the leading edge of tech, whether it was with an Android phone or iPhone. But lately I really don't care about the niche features they're coming out with to try to one-up each other. Give me a phone that's another 1-2mm thicker with 20% more battery capacity so I can go 2-3 days without dragging a charger with me. Hell, I don't even care about 5G.

I was mildly intrigued about them announcing M2 Pro and M2 Max chips. But now that I have a MBP with the M1 Pro, and a Studio with the M1 Ultra I have no need for a new(ew) computer.

For me it really just boils down to whether or not the revised phone has what I'm looking for. If not I'm not going to lose any sleep over it.

Apple = sheeple

but if you're on Android, beeple?

I mean, until this year, there were more beeples than sheeple. So which is it?

Android is an operating system platform used by several makers. Sales numbers of Android to Apple is comparing apples to oranges.

Technology capabilities is oranges to oranges.
