I watched this the night it was bumped. Insane video and audio quality from 50+ year old recordings. Good watch for nerds into rocket stuff and history.
Ok. Yeah this was amazing. I felt like I was actually in 1969 watching it for the first time. And even tho I knew everything would go well (spoiler alert) there was still so much tension in this
Loved that it was done w/ NO commentary. All the images spoke for themselves.
Also all the joking over the radio, and dudes just chilling in the control room smoking What a time to be alive.
Glad you enjoyed it. It's one of those movies/documentaries that you can watch a few times and not be bored by it. Pretty impressive seeing as how all of that footage and photos were taken back in 1969, and they were properly archived by NASA, so they needed very little restorative work.
Watched the launch scene and some of the parts when they were on the moon w/ my PSVR2 today. It was quite cool. Obviously its not going to look AS good as watching it on an actual 4k screen, but seeing the rocket right in front me on a 150" screen was really awesome. Actually had to crane my neck up when they did a full shot of it on the launchpad. And actually it did still look pretty damn good on the psvr screens
