The only reason for a tune or fuel management is because the bike is very lean from the factory because of EPZ standards. Its so lean that some bikes have issues running just slip on mufflers. If it was as easy as just putting new pipes in, it would have been done already! If you change the pipes, you have to change the air cleaner and re map it.
2-3k left after selling the cobra lol....the bike is even more useless then the cobra and its a BIKE.....each his own
I would get the slip-ons. That's what i will be getting on mine. Should be just fine. Remember, you're money, not theirs.

I found out a guy that used to work for my Dad works at a Harley dealer...I can get a big time hook up on Bigshots Staggered, Screamin Eagle Intake and a Screamin Eagle Race Tuner with dyno time. They'll even come and pick up the bike for me.
