Any "Comfortable" Sportbikes exist anymore? Suggestions?

I have a Big Dog Chopper and a ZZR1200. I've had multiple ZX14's, ZX12 and Hayabusa's. I miss my CBR929's big power vs lightweight I had 20 years ago. I'm considering a 2000 year up ZX10, R1, CBR1000 or GSXR 1000. Are any of these options remotely comfortable, I'm 50 now and 6FT, 34 inseam and about 220LBS. I'm not expecting sport touring comfort but 150 miles a day without needing traction and physical therapy would be awesome.

Look at the naked sport bikes. Your seating position is more in a normal position than the typical hunched over.

BMW S1000R gets my vote.

My ZZR is very comfortable and below 150MPH as fast as my first gen ZX14 was, it's still going to be here as is the Chopper and my big Road Glide.
This new addition will be a lightweight road burner for me. I have 30 miles of perfect, sweeping pavement between my cabin and work. Also near non existent law enforcement to ruin the fun! From what I've read the GSXR and ZX10 are the most roomy.

I’d be surprised if the GSX-R1000 was at the top of the ergonomics list. Typically their rearsets are higher and further rearward, putting more pressure on the knees. ZX-10R and CBR1000RR are usually ranked best, followed by the R1.

I had a 2004 ZX-10R and miss is every day. I do have a 96 ZX-9R in the garage that’s complete, just needs a bit of restoration since it’s been sitting under a cover for the last decade. Lot of the rubber lines need replacing.

Yea, the naked bikes are always "tuned for midrange" bullshit. I had a ZRX 1200. I cost a small fortune to get it to the level of my current ZZR1200.
I have an s1000r and it’s pretty comfortable a more upright seating position, it’s pretty quick they can make 180whp with bolt ons and a tune

You dismissed naked bikes because of the power, but I promise you any modern naked bike has more power and exponentially better tech than these old bikes. As you can see the streetfighter has as much power as any modern 1000, and 40-50hp more than a 20yo japanese liter bike.

2015 was generally the year that all sportbikes (except suzukis) took a giant leap forward. Buy something modern, it's so worth it. The power and tech is amazing in newer bikes.

I’d say my built ZX12’s were my favorite, then I went to the ZX14 and the Hayabusa’s and sold them only to not be able to find a clean ZX12 again. I’ve ridden some seriously built naked bikes, my ZRX1200 was turbocharged.
So far me and the ZX10 are getting along. I think with a set of Helibars and drop pegs I’ll be good on it.

I like my bmw s1000r it’s not as fast as the full faring bike but it runs pretty good for what it is probably similar power to the zx10 with the mods on it now traps 140ish in the 1/4 but is geared a lot lower than an s1000rr I’d imagine it tops out in the 170 range with the current gearing I have so no top end monster
