We had been holding back on upgrading and upsizing my wife’s kid hauler, but with the van a total loss from the accident, time to pull the trigger.

We looked at the new expedition max, Yukon xl, and suburban, as well as the Wagoneer. But we preferred the interior, seating space, looks, availability, and pricing of the Wagoneer.

Ended up getting it from a dealer in PA and driving it back down to SC.

This truck was awesome on the highway. The driving assist tech was super nice and the air ride soaked up the bumps with ease. We’re still trying to get accustomed to the tech. It’s not a grand Wagoneer, but still enough tech options and customizable setting that I need to figure out…

I’ll have some more pics to add later, especially the interior.

I already have it scheduled to go in for front window tint next week.

Congrats, these are on my radar when they come down in price.
Ill be looking at a series 2 as the prices on the grand are insane.
Thanks, and yeah they seem to sticker higher than the ford and GM offerings, but you can find some deals to be had. Fortunately, I was able to get Stellantis EP pricing through a family member and then $5,500 in stellantis rebates in addition.

No dealers were moving or willing to accept EP on the grands though…

Grabbed some quick interior shots. We purposely sought one with the second row bench and without the rear screens. We plan we’ll probably use all 8 seats sometime and if I want to go captains chairs in the future, the middle seat comes out with 4 bolts and also I don’t have to pay $1,300 for them to NOT give me that seat with the car…

Love it! But that light interior would make my OCD go crazy with little ones all over them back seats :)

New ride looks great. Any feedback on real world mpg’s on that thing? Test drove one last week and boy was I impressed.
We’re seeing 14 ish around town. On the highway and while being reasonable with speed and the go pedal, I was around 20.

It’s not bad but the switch to this from our minivan when gas prices are what they are has made us focus on the mpg’s a lot. My X1 gets free gas so we try to use that as much as possible…
Do you have the upgraded max tow package?
I don’t, and I didn’t see too many available currently. From what I could tell, what gets you to 10k lbs is mostly 3.92 gearing from the 3.21. All the hitch hardware is the same. But no integrated brake controller. I’m looking how to have the oem one installed, or just be ok with my tekonsha controller plugged in.

Mine is rated at like 7.2k lbs. I have no plans currently to tow anything over that and rather not sacrifice the fuel economy currently. Maybe if in the future I do need to tow more, then I trade in or gear swap…
