again....thats a dev problem. I see your point but Google doesnt own the devs and cant force them...well, they technically can now but its still on them to update.

Most of my apps auto fill anyway so whatever. Annoying yes, but fixable shortly, also yes.

Worse comes to worse, I can always sell it for little to no loss. I wont sell my 2 until I'm confident the 4 wont suck to daily use.

Aren't they kind of forcing them by removing the fingerprint all together?

I kind of hope devs don't add face unlock for their apps just out of spite of google

Will never happen

I only use fingerprint unlock for banking apps....so for me, its only 3 or 4 apps.

I'm not making excuses but for me and my situation, none of this is deal breaking. Usage will obviously vary across the board.

They have been fucking developers over with their permissions.

Kind of makes you wonder if the ability to add face unlock was available...why hasn't anyone added it? Other phones have had face unlock for awhile.

Look it up...the biometric API has been available since 9.0...I dunno why no one has used it. Or maybe they are waiting to push updates now. Who knows. Like I said, its a head scratcher but guess we'll wait and see.

And here I'm just upset that my Note 8 probably won't get the full Android 10 update. Just the security updates.

And the only reason I am upset about it is the black background settings. I got the update and saw that Instagram was black themed. I was stoked. An hour later looked at it again and it was white. Thought I got the 10 update but it fooled me. Just a security update.


But otherwise, this thing still cranks along with no issues. Still gets over 4 hours of screen time and 14+ hours on the same charge. It would be nice to get another year or two out of it. See if I can skate two years yet.

I use the finger scanner for like 99% of phone unlocks.

I also have the phone with that scanner on the back that most people hated. I love it back there. I think it is way more convenient than on the front.

It has to, the protector will mess with scans.

LG and pixels. I'm sure a few other brands too.

Samsung's are on the front except for a few models.

Doesn't even stay locked at 90hz gotta go into developer mode to enable it to force 90hz....but kills battery even more

XL barely gets 5hrs SOT with the mixed 60/90hz.

So Google killed the video 4k@60fps because of storage.... maybe you shouldn't shoot yourself in the foot with 64gb stupid.

Storage isn't expensive like it was years ago. And the phones keep increasing in price. I don't understand why flagship type phones wouldn't have 256GB at a minimum.
