Anyway. It's from when I left my car outside in that pouring rain that left 2 inches of water on my floor boards. LMAO.

oh yea and I've been using the exploding shipping foam for trans now. It blows up and expands and hugs the weird contour of a trans.

From the look of the finish on that pressure plate and flywheel the oil wasn't fully bled out of the metal pores. Let a really light solvent like low voc (slow dry) brake cleaner sit on top of the friction surfaces for a bit and then wipe and repeat it a couple of times then use the fast dry stuff a few more.

I do the same thing with paper towels under and on the friction disc to bleed out any of the storage preservative oil since for some reason they like to put the piece of preservative paper right against your friction material.

Break up the circumferential Machining grooves with some radial scratches via sandpaper about a 100ish grit.
