Just thinking out loud here. Can't I just cut off the brake fittings off the 3rd Gen rear and re flare them to the 4th gen rear so my 3 way adapter from the car will then just bolt right in?

Are you trying to go from inverted flare to bubble? If so, Weatherhead 1442 is for 3/16 brake line to metric bubble. If you've got 1/4 going to the back you may be able to find another PN to do what you need. There are a few fittings out there like this, you either need a catalog, knowledgeable parts guy or to read around on the net.

You can cut the ends off and re-use them. My general opinion is get a couple pre-mades if youre going to do that, cut the ends off and do them. Napa also has a decent selection of "adapter" lines you may see if they have one that suits your needs. I would shy away from re-flaring old line, my line split bad when I tried to do it. Then again it's also way older than your lines too.

Still got it. If I don't sell it by time I go pick up my new motor it's going with as part of the trade.

It's easier to just go with the motor I bought from my buddy. Was going to buy his top end but he's making me a hell of a deal
