Watched 2nd episode last night. man WTF ending

Man Rowan is not having a good run with her mothers Adoptive mother dies at the end of the first episode, and then her real mother gets turned into a pez dispenser at the end of the 2nd. That was quite a twist. I think they showed the elevator stopping at the 6th floor first? Wonder if that will come back as something later. Also, given who her mother is/was, I wouldn't be surprised if this is not the last time we see her on the show in some form.
