My daughter's 1998 Chevy Malibu 3100 V6 is making a funny noise. It's coming from the A/C compressor. When engaged, it's quiet, but when the clutch is released, it makes a spinning, metallic sound. I'm assuming the bearing is going out on the clutch.
Can these easily be replaced without removing the compressor from the engine?
