If I get rid of the R....I'm starting to consider a C6Z. But thats still a pipe dream.

If you were to make that dream come true I would have the biggest boner, if I didn’t have kids riding in my car frequently I would auto swap a c6z and throw many psi’s at it

Its gonna depend on how the current 2 jobs go. Selling off the R would likely pay for a huge chunk of a C6....but I want to be financially secure before I get any new toys.

The C6Z I drove was fantastic in every way. It is the definition of a pure sports car IMO.

But I read magazines building 4.8L LS motors making 1,000+ hp. They make no mention of failures. Stop spreading hate.

Just please don't buy someone else's build... Start fresh, factory sealed engine......

Why in gods name would I do that? I'd much rather find someone with a mild heads cam build done by a reputable shop.

Power seems pretty typical of an unlocked setup. Dyno numbers are just that. Numbers. I expect this would make over 1000 through a manual or locked converter.

Unless this was just some drop in motor, don’t see the point of a 6.0 for 800hp. You can achieve that with a 5.3 easily. All of them love boost and the 5.3 is a cheaper route.

I’d buy a car if it was a shop built set up if it was a good shop and I could verify the build through them, a hand full of my friends have speed inc built cars and they tend to work very well

No need for a pissing match.

My point is....w/ the C6Z, its already prone to the valve guide issue....if I was shopping for one, Id much rather it come from a seller than knocked it out and already has a mild build on it. Sure, it will drive the cost up but better than spending all that cash after the fact imo.

This is all hypothetical BS anyway. I'm in no position to get stupid.

Most ones you see for sale have had that issue corrected or have a heads cam swap in them.

Unless it’s some really low mileage one that’s untouched. But those are getting a lot more rare to find.

Also get stupid and build something.... it’s the cool thing to do lately. Lol
