A few years ago I swapped a 5.3 into my XJ. I thought someone here might be interested in the pics and specs. I don't own this XJ anymore. It was a fun build but I decided I needed something bigger with AC and electric windows :)

98 Jeep Cherokee SE
2005 5.3, LS1 intake
4L60E with upgraded hard parts and shift kit
Hybrid NP231 with Jeep and Chevy parts, upgraded 6 pinion planetaries
Dana 44 rear with Truetrac
Dana 30 front with ARB Air locker
4:10 gears
Custom cluster with Intellitronix Gauges (garbage)

I know this isn't a hot turbo setup or very Sloppy oriented but if anyone has any questions about any parts I used or how I did something please ask. Happy to answer and help if I can.

I have a playlist of the videos I did along the way:

Awesome from what I have read of these they are lighter than one would think. It would make for a neat jeepphoon build although it would be fun even na.

This thing with the lift, rack, bigger tires and some other accessories was about 3750lbs. I put too low of a stall TQ converter in it, otherwise it would have been pretty quick I think. With an 1800 stall it was close to 6 sec 0-60.
