$5k is still too much IMO. Although super clean car

low miles do not mean a perfect/new driving car. Its still a base model 15 year old malibu.

5k for that at a dealer isn't bad. 2k private party I can see.

Panda, I totally agree, but low mileage does raise the probability of it being in good shape

Nobody pays 5k for this car and we all know it. No need to point out the obvious.

This has the potential to be a great deal for a winter beater, even if it is a base Malibu that is about as exciting as watching paint dry.

Good post.

Looks like a grandma's grocery getter/church on sunday car. Clean. as. fuck. Would probably make a great DD if someone is looking for a beater. Stumbed across it after the Tata thread...

Interesting question... Would you rather have this or a new Tata?

Are you speaking of the car, or the breasticle?

Depending on the features and especially the warranty on the Tata, it would probably be this. This should be safe enough, reliable enough, and I can most likely do any work on it that it needs. If the Tata was overly impressive and not terrifying to drive on the highway, I'd pick the Tata if it came with a decent warranty. This is if both cars were listed at the same price.
