i call bs on your bs sir, aftermaraket cams are available for the 60v6 with DIS. I HAVE ONE. and now as a matter of fact, comp cams are doing cams. the rest is true though

Are you sure? Comp Cams only has 3 cams for 60* V-6's. http://www.compcams.com/DefaultWide.asp
The 240, the 252, and the 260. All of them are non-DIS.
Also Eagle, Isky, Crane (when they were around), Schneider, Elgin, PAW, Melling, Edelbrock, Lunati, and Wolf all make cams for 60* V-6's but not a single one is compatable with DIS.

Intense Racing and ARI sell re-grinds, But these are factory camshafts re-ground to slightly different spec's. Not really an aftermarket cam. The re-grinds are more for folks who want to use forced induction on their 3X00 engines.

ya sure they arent compatible with DIS? remember they still use a dizzy gear to drive the oil pump driveshaft....and i dont think the cam snout has changed from the old 2.8/3.2 dizzy motors and the later DIS one's

The DIS cams have a machined ring right behind the front and a magnetic slug in it. An older cam will not work because the area is not machined down, the cam sensor will rub on the older cams, and there is no magnetic slug.

I know this very well because previous to swapping in a V-8, I took a 1994 Firebird/Camaro 3.4L, stripped it down and rebuilt it. It was dyno'd at 230hp.
