Don’t remember if I ever posted these that I did with my maker select V2 but I thought they were awesome!

I actually sold a couple of the poop emoji trophies for fantasy football leagues for their losers trophy.
The little storage containers I still use.

I made this 10+ years ago when I was around 17. Used cardstock paper, spray paint, fiberglass resign. For less than $100 and like two weeks of cutting, glue and paint, I think it turned out well. The helmet had LED lights in it. But I keep saying I'd try again and make a better one. Just haven't wanted to commit to spending a month or three on a build. Quarantine has me with a bit of free time though so I've been looking into it.

Technology has also gotten way better in the last 10 years. Seen some pretty BA builds online. These are 3D printed and obviously painted better than my rattle can spray paint.

Anyone try Atomic Filament in Indiana? I just ordered some of their Jet Black PLA and Starry Night PETG. I wanted to try a filament made and sourced in the US. About $10 more then microcenter Inland PLA+.

Really looking forward to the jet black

I haven’t, I’ve been exclusive with inland pla and petg.
I'm pretty happy with inland PLA+. The white, black and neon green have been great. Actually on my second spool of black already. I have red and blue to try out still.

I got a spool of TTYT3D silk white from Amazon which was good. That was what the giant owl was printed in.

I also have a roll of SunLu Rainbow PLA that I haven't cracked open yet.

I’ve had a mix of the pla+ and regular pla in various colors. All of it seems fine.

I got some Polaroid petg in white from Joan fabrics for super cheap I need to try out. It was on clearance.
 I tried to get some of that cheap stuff when it went on clearance too but joann out here cancelled the order

Decided to play around with a bigger nozzle. Just threw in a 0.8. the blob of plastic it lays down is awesome

I just made a couple Ryobi battery holders...was averaging 3 hours with a 0.4m nozzle. With the new one it should be done in an hour!(it's running right now) Talk about a huge ass time savings since I need like 6 of them

Which ones did you print out? I was looking at some the other day when organizing my garage.

I was going back and forth on a few but decided on these for ease of mounting between peg board and wood + minimum material + time to print (before getting the bigger nozzles.)

im just glad i finally sorted out my HD dual Z mod.

even if you cant afford to buy the screw/nut/belts n pulleys..... id highly suggest printing out any z mods while yer machine is newer....so when you do find the arm sag is fucking you you just buy the parts an dfix the problem.....

dont do like we did and print money till it was too worn.

i aint gonna complain, the printer paid for itself nearly 3 times over

The lines of the larger nozzles kinda drive me nuts.
Yeah they definitely are much more noticeable. But for some things, the time savings is worth it. Like the small parts box goes from 3hr to 1hr. For some usability items I'd rather save the time and print more lol.

The downside is I can drain a roll pretty damn fast now.
