The wait has finally culminated with the arrival of the new BMW M4 CS. Positioned between the Competition and CSL models, this latest offering from the M division promises an exhilarating blend of increased power, reduced weight, and blistering speed.

Borrowing cues from its sibling, the M3 CS, the M4 CS packs a formidable punch under its sleek two-door body. Its twin-turbocharged inline-six engine has been tuned to unleash 543 horsepower and 479 pound-feet of peak torque. This potent powerplant is coupled with BMW's M xDrive all-wheel-drive system and an eight-speed Steptronic automatic transmission, propelling the M4 CS from 0 to 60 mph in a mere 3.2 seconds. Yet, its performance prowess doesn't end there, with a limited top speed of 188 mph, matching the impressive capabilities of the M3 CS.

While the M4 CS sheds weight, its price tag certainly doesn't follow suit. With a destination charge of $1,175 included, this high-performance machine commands a starting price of $124,675 – a substantial $35,200 premium over its M4 Competition xDrive counterpart. Production commences in July, and deliveries are expected later this year, promising an exhilarating driving experience for those who can afford its exclusive offering.

Really doesn't seem logical at all to make something between the m4 comp and m4 CSL, especially because basically-new CSL's have already depreciated 20k (lol @ anyone that paid a markup for these things)

also..if BMW wants this much money for a beefed up 4 series, they need to at least upgrade the transmission to a DCT

I will never not watch a ring lap vid

Um. This thing moves. Props to that driver.

Definitely seems to punch above its weight, but christ, that price tag.

For perspective this is how the M4 CSL stacked up against the competition at the lightning lap. It's not impressive given the price and the fact that it's brand new. Basically could only outperform cars that were much older, much cheaper, or were big AF with 4 doors (panamera, gt63)

I don't imagine the CS will be much different.

The CSL will end up being a car that will increase in value, where nothing else in the price category would. However, I'd take a ZL1 1LE or GT500 for 1/2 the price any day.

did you not see above where I linked a 2k mile one for sale, asking 20k less than the original MSRP? No chance this car holds value. it'll be similar to the M4 GTS which punched well below its price class and now sells for a little over half what the original MSRP was.

I'm not talking about the current market or short term. This will be a long term hold that will reach collector status. It was a 1,000 unit production run only.

They only made 800 m4 GTS's lol, and it still tanked in value.

If the limited production was going to help the value, you wouldn't see 20k+ depreciation in the first year. Period.

Why are u worried about holding value? People usually buy cause they like it.
