2023 Fishing Thread

FIL and I went fishing this morning. Headed out to the Mchenry dam. Caught nothing, went to Mcullom on lake and caught nothing. Told him seriously check out the creek by the house. He had been reluctant because as he said itās a creek and not worth it. Yeah we Caught a slew of 1-3 lb bass.
Think weāre officially done for this trip, coming back home tomorrow.
Lots of 1-2 lb bass; I got biggest at 6.3, my youngest got a 4.5. My oldest caught a 7-8 lb, but got off as he was pulling it up. I spent a lot of time playing fishing guide taking the little kids out, so had a good time losing overall count to my oldest:

Thereās like 12 kids here, and I donāt know everyoneās counts.

Caught this guy on the Fox on St Charles. Had a few more bass but they spit the hook at the last second.
This duck followed me around for about 45 minutes. It would not leave the side of the kayak.
