Well that is awesome. I am going crazy waiting to take my kayak out and fish. Bring on the warm weather god damn it!!
Same!! I have kayaks and my dad and I are itching to take them out. Might just toss them in the water right next to my house and paddle up and out to the riverwalk and the Fox and I check it out. Shit reminds me I Have to get the sticker for the Fox on them first.
Monday through Friday the weather has been nice but I’ve been too busy after work. Thankfully the weather during the weekends has been shit. Gotta love it. LOLzzzz Driving me nuts.
Just grabbed a ~4 pound walleye off my pier. Threw it back, but my kids were impressed LOL!
Nice. I caught a similar bass this morning. Fished for about 10 minutes on my way home from Bliss Creek driving range. Caught my bass on the third cast. Left shortly there after so I would not upset the fishing gods.
Probably going to get up early and go on a bike ride and fish a few other bridges along the creek. They be biting.
Damn.. well my dad and I did some kayak fishing in the creek that runs around the neighborhood. Every bridge was loaded with bass. We were thinking of continuing down the creek and out to the Fox around Mchenry but fuck it. Fishing was soo good in the creek we stayed. I didn’t get pictures of the fish but I grabbed a shot of my dad. No way in fuck I’d risk dropping my phone. ?
Also we.. or I had to clear out a launch spot on the edge of a piece of wayy overgrown public property. Neighbor was cool with it. So now I have a spot to launch just a couple hundred feet from my house. There is a bunch of metal pipes laying around. I’ll probably make a kayak slide from them so it can pull them up and down the slope easier.

Had to test out Some new tackle from mule fishing this morning since I was up early. First cast cast caught a bass and it kept producing from dinks to a 12” LM that was chasing minnows in 5” of water.
Aaand now I’m going into the office.. and smell hints of fish on me as I leave.. NFG. Lol
I'm headed to British Columbia/Alaska two weeks from today. Have a flight from Chicago to Vancouver, then a charter flight from Vancouver to Masset, then a helicopter to Langara Island. About as remote as it gets.

Got the boys some new lures to target blue gills, caught a good amount along with a couple perch.
ohh yeah.. some new stuff. I Picked up the limited edition purple sparkle jigs for my wife. My dad bought a shit ton of stuff. Probably 4x as much. ?
Went to the underpass by the house and caught a big ol catfish around 20” long on the 1st cast. The catfish bent the shit out of the hook in my jig and didn’t have anything to replace it with me so I ended up using my panfish rod and Brought in a few panfish, small bass along with a nice 12” bass and another catfish around 15”. I Cannot believe I brought them in as it is 4# braid and tiny 1/80 oz #8 hook and jig. Had to wear the fish out to get them in.
