Only like 100. The torque makes it fun on the street since your not spending your time at 8,200 rpm.
Don't get me wrong, this car will probably dominate on a road course. I'm saying from my personal experience that I prefer torquey engines for the street.
Bro it was a 20 year old, 80’s GM platform when it was new. No shit ??.Im the opposite. The r8 and v8 M3 are a lot more fun to drive than my Camaro SS was.
I would say of all the things that make this thing badass, styling differences aren’t any of them. Is it because they didn’t charge much? Or is it that the standard C8 is already pretty aggressive? Not sure but you’re not buying this thing because of a new front and rear bumper that’s for sureThese people dry humping eachother like its the second coming, and I really dont see a difference between this new one and the normal C8.
It'll be fine. Its like a GT350 but with a few hundred more RPM on the redline, and a bit more displacement. With the 8spd DCT, I bet the gearing is much shorter so it'll fly through 1st to 3rd.uggghhh, another low torque FPC like the 350.
Agreed, though this car isn't going to obtainable by most people for a looooong time. Its same thing I said for the GT350.
the engine will be worth the price of admission.
yeah but unless you put electric motors at each wheel....like tesla... the torque is useless if you can't utilize it. A single gas motor cant make the super fine instant tq adjustments at each wheel like tesla can to get at the edge of traction at all times.Uuuuuh, torque if absolutely everything. Ask Tesla.
So GT350s dyno 460ish to the wheels. This thing will be 600ish. Dear Ford, how you gonna let chevy come in and bitch slap you with a higher hp dohc fpc?
The real ? is will this have consumption issues like fords
Which means the crank should weigh less.At least Chevy used UDDU and not UDUD.
GM has always had a high failure rate in marketing lol.Maybe I’ve been spoiled by Dodge just showing their cars sliding sideways up a fucking tree during release events but this was painful as hell. I don’t care about any of these “celebrity” opinions and it seemed to be lacking engineering details and performance numbers. I skipped that entire waste of time they spent talking about this thing like it’s an art piece and then just closed it when it went to the lame talking panel. GM needs to fire their marketing team
Which means the crank should weigh less.
Fords UDUD meant they had to add counterweights which brought the crankshaft weight back up to near cross plane crank weights.
