What's with all this rear steer lately? It seems like a lot of weight and complexity for not a lot of gain. I could see it for a serious off roader, but not these every day production vehicles.

Am I missing something?
Well it is so a car with a longer wheel base can have better handling dynamics. With the rear steering that g80 probably turns like it is three feet shorter.

The 90’s are back!

after experiencing it in an r32 I can say it sure feels like it works.
