Was curious about rebuilds and such. What are we talking, 10-20k?this would be a ripper, just be ready to rebuild the engine in another 150-250 hours.
next thing unless you're bringing mofucking stacks on deck, something this old/style may be annoying AF to get a loan on.
Bigger motors (heads big cam stuff) generally you can just do the top end every 150-250 hours the bottom end should be fine for quite a while unless it’s a blower motor, full refresh on an 800hp motor probably 10k plus pulling the motor and reinstall, might as well do the drive while it’s off depending on what it has for a drive 3-5k for refresh or more if it’s fancy shit some of the big ones have transmissions separate that need refreshed alsoWas curious about rebuilds and such. So refreshes are every few years and rebuilds possibly every 5 years or so?Bigger motors (heads big cam stuff) generally you can just do the top end every 150-250 hours the bottom end should be fine for quite a while unless it’s a blower motor, full refresh on an 800hp motor probably 10k plus pulling the motor and reinstall, might as well do the drive while it’s off depending on what it has for a drive 3-5k for refresh or more if it’s fancy shit some of the big ones have transmissions separate that need refreshed also
I'm still tire kicking/getting ideas. My wife brings the stacks.you miss the part about stacks on deck?
Depends on use, some people don’t put 200 hours on in 10 years, I put 50ish hours a season on my river boat probably 150-200 hours on my pontoon and so far 3 hours on my fishing boat lolSo refreshes are every few years and rebuilds possibly every 5 years or so?
That's not too bad then. HmmmmmDepends on use, some people don’t put 200 hours on in 10 years, I put 50ish hours a season on my river boat probably 150-200 hours on my pontoon and so far 3 hours on my fishing boat lol
Depends on how many times you take it out and how much you drive it when your out, will you beach all day with the family or cruise for hours, I tend to cruise for hours but it cost me 250-300 in gas for that afternoon of cruising, the pontoon hardly burns anything it only has an 8 hp and I use it every day for an hour or soThat's not too bad then. Hmmmmm
