My 10 year old daughter pulled this walleye in tonight off our pier using a jig. Somehow it fell off her hook onto the pier when she lifted it out of the water so I didn't get a good pic of her with it.

Ive been trying to learn flattys and channel cats the last few years. Unfortunately these are Wisconsin fish but we have pulled some decent ones out of the Fox. Just takes time to figure out the patterns and like anything else just putting the time in. Usually the channel cats prefer dead bait on the bottom while the flattys like live.

Iā€™ve ā€œbarelyā€ been out this year. Mostly early season before summer. I was wetting a line 3-4x a week last year. May have been out 30-35 times total this season. Havenā€™t had much motivation

That is rough as it has been a good year.

YT channels, along w/ Covid, have been sparking more folks fishing. I have been noticing a steep increase in folks fishing this year.

Been tougher finding spots that are not fished but they are still out there.

5th carp today. All ranging 21 - 25 in, 15 - 18 in girth

No monster, but what I like; my 6 yrs old is learning to reel down as she brings the pole to the shore, set the hook and adjust the drag.

She battles as expected keeping the line tight and as the carp comes to shore, she ohysically backs up, bringing the fishing into the net w/out harm.

Pics, measurements, fish back into the water like clockwork and without impact. Fish swims off, good.
