Car is a daily driver, but has lived much of its life inside our garage. We purchased second hand from Northbrook Toyota in December of 2013 with 27K miles. Has some minor hood chips, a crack in the plastic liner on the passenger mirror (hard to notice) and a dent on the hood - all pictured. Small amount of wear on driver seat consistent with mileage. Everything works on this vehicle, including the A/C.
There are also some minor scuffs on the rear bumper. None of this stuff is really noticeable more than 20 feet away. Car is extremely good looking and we get compliments on it everywhere we go.
All maintenance (except recent brake job) was done at Larry Roesch VW in Bensenville. The tranny and clutch assembly are known weak points, but the transmission and clutch were replaced in December with brand new components that were subsidized under VW's Good will program. Newish tires that will last another year or 12K miles. Brake pads replaced at 80K miles at Elmhurst Auto Clinic in Elmhurst. It will need an oil change in December.
Car has never been involved in a collision, and I will provide the CarFax I just had run on it. Car drives like it is brand new. Strong acceleration and handles extremely well. Still feels as tight as the day we got it.
We are only selling this car because we are moving into a custom made camper van and will no longer need this as a vehicle.
