Industry sources told PickupTrucks.com that the 2010 Pontiac G8 ST sport truck has been killed. GM made the announcement to its dealers during a broadcast this morning.

Based on Australia's Holden VE Ute, the G8 ST was slated to go on sale in the U.S. next summer.

Smart move. Would have been the same failure the Chevy SSR had.

The chevy SSR cost almost as much as a vette, the back was unusable, and it was so heavy that it was kinda slow for it's power, so most that could/would get the SSR just bought Vettes............

I thought it would sell, not super high volume, but I think they could move 10k - 15k of those a year (if they priced them in the 24k - 30k range like th G*'s) and it didn't really cost GM anything in development
