2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe Pricing Announced

http://blogs.cars.com/kickingtires/2009/02/2010-hyundai-genesis-coupe-pricing-announced.html

The 2009 Hyundai Genesis won a slew of awards, including Cars.com’s New Car of the Year distinction. This year will see the debut of the 2010 Genesis coupe, which is significantly different from the sedan. Starting at $22,000, the 2.0-liter four-cylinder version tops out at $26,750 with the Track Package.

The coupe is also available with a 3.8-liter V-6, starting at $25,000 with the basic six-speed manual transmission. If you really want to get your kicks in, though, you can upgrade to the Track model, which has a ZF six-speed automatic Shiftronic transmission, for a cool $31,000. None of these prices include a $750 destination charge.

The 2010 Hyundai Genesis coupe goes on sale late this month. Check after the jump for full pricing information on all the different packages and engine options.

My choice would be the 2.0T R-Spec model at $23,750.

If it were between a $31,000 V-6 Genesis Coupe and a $31,000 370Z, I would too. But you can get the R-Spec model, which has brembos, six-speed manual, limited slip, and the turbo four, for $7,000 less than the Z. Korean tuners have already put down impressive numbers with the turbo four.

x2 but yea, otherwise the 370z is a better option at the top of the food chain for 30k+

This is the coupe. You're talking about the sedan. They're both called Genesis but they're totally different cars.

It's said that it can be done but don't expect anything in the near future for production. Because it's impractical already as a RWD coupe, they're pushing the high gas mileage shit in ads and such.

Of course it's a sports car, but one with good gas mileage. The four-banger is estimated at 30-ish mpg on the highway.

No offense, but did you just call an A4 a sports car? RS4 definitely, S4 maybe, anything else no way.

Plus the cost of a V-8 in this car would no doubt put it over $35,000, and likely throw off the balance of the car, much how the V8 Audis are very nose heavy and feel that way. Part of the reason why the new S4 will have a lighter blown V-6 instead of V-8.

a4 in straight line, no, not a sports car.

but a4 on the track, mine with the current suspension setup, yes, will hold its own.

I don't know, man. I've driven the 2009 A4 with sports package, 19s and summer tires at it's limits on a road course and was not impressed. Still nose heavy and lots of understeer. And the 2009 is lighter than the outgoing model. As you likely know, the entire engine is forward of the front axle and even the Audi engineer agreed with me about the understeer. But with an aggressive rear diff like what's on the new S4, they may be able to solve that. Just my .02.

What makes them more track worthy?
