This is going to be a quick I just wanted to get this rolling so I could post pictures as I fix and clean stuff up in the new boat basic run down it’s a 242 checkmate 26’ over all with a mild built big block 454 making in the neighborhood of 500hp, my current project is getting rid of all the ghetto wiring adding a battery ditching the 2002 neon lighting in the stabbin cabin and adding led lighting, I will be buffing it out when I have time and basically making it a new boat again as I go through everything and fix it up

Trying to get this thing thrown back together so I can use it this week but I still have a ton of wiring to do mainly down to the lighting right now, going to wire in an inverter for camping, and have to run a new ground wire for the amp not a big deal, she still needs a deep clean and a light buff, I ordered a electric winch for my wife to be able to get this thing on the trailer going to use a lawn mower battery and the accessorie wire off the 7 pin plug to charge it, going to pull and possibly replace the fuel level sender it only reads to 3/4 tank at almost empty there’s still 25 gallons left

So glad you got a big boat. Can’t wait to see it cleaned up and loved like the other one. Also can’t wait for the blower that inevitably will end up on it!

miss the hell out of splashing in Morris and running WOT all the way to the dam
if it gets a power upgrade it will most likely just be a fresh big cube na motor and still somewhat mild, fast is fun but reliably is key and as the saying goes fast and reliable isn’t cheap we will see how many duckets I can clear during the turnaround next year and that will determine weather I mess with it or not, it runs pretty solid for what it is right now I’m pretty content at the moment I just want to get it all cleaned up
