1997 Regal part out thread

1997 Regal part out thread *new pics and items*

The car was hit on the drivers side rear area and deemed a total loss. I will be parting out the car as much as I can then either donate it, or sell whatever is left for cheap depending on how the part out goes. The seats are in fairly good condition minus a couple spots from transporting some old jack stands on the back part of the rear seat and passanger side back seat.

Single out exhaust - ZZP 3" DP, 3" hogan catless catback, Hooker Maxflow muffler, single resonated tip. One small section has a 2.5" diameter. It is where the cat usually goes. - $125 picked up.

HUD, HUD controller - $30

12" (Monte Carlo) brakes - Brackets, calipers, EBC red stuff (installed in August) pads, EBC 12" blank rotors installed same time the pads were - $90

As a precaution, Panda is #3 in line for Gen V if engine falls through.

I really don't see how I am 3rd in line when I text you asking if you wanted to sell the Gen V even before the car was wrecked. I noticed you were losing interest and maybe wanted some money. :dunno:

The more and more I wait the less ******** this Gen V is to me. Ive had a few people flat out tell me switching to a Gen V isn't worth the money it will cost me on my setup.

How are the wheels? DD needs some nice ones for DR's.

You wanted my blower while I was still driving the car. I see where you are coming from, but I was still using it, and who knows what would have happened down the line. Better having something and not using it, then not having and need/want it.

Right now I have two parties interested in the entire engine. That would put you at #3 would it not? Wouldnt it be silly of me to part out an engine instead of selling it whole to someone who needs it?

3 of the wheels are in good shape. The one that was hit is messed up. The lip is bent, but is holding pressure.

fuck dollies. put it on 6x6s and have the flatbed come and get it...

marathon towing in mchenry took the shell of my 97 that i parted out to jack shit. no questions asked. and it was sitting on the ground- they hooked chains to it, and just dragged it onto the flatbed.

Or this... KJ is right though they will take it however.

I dont know if I want a tow truck dragging a car out of my garage and down a driveway. :hs:

Ill try to confirm the sways for you Nick.

Ive thought about stripping the good suspension shit, but lack of air tools makes this a very laborious job. I be lazy sometimes. And thanks firefox for recommending laborious instead of laborful.

DD, I can give you 2 rims for $100 and leave the meat on them. They are good BFG Traction TAs. You could probably score a few bucks or use them on something else. Less if you bring a couple doughnuts to throw on.

Its not drivable. Would need rear driver side body and suspension work. New bumper would be nice too. :hs:

I offered Dan $1900 for the whole thing, and the body shop quoted $3900 to fix just the rear damage. That was with new GXP strut, finding a sway bar, new wheel, body, paint, bla bla bla.

Unless he works for a bodyshop, Id tell him to keep looking.

This. When my cousin blew the engine on his escort he stripped that bitch down and the towing place came, dragged it onto the flatbed, gave him 150 bucks for the car and left.
