1984 firebird street/strip car

built 383 stroker motor,new turbo 350 built to handle 750 hp,4500 9 inch stall,too much too list,9 bolt Aussie rear end,aux trans cooler,Lakewood drag struts,Weld draglites,hoosier 28x10x15 slicks with tubes,this car is fast and clean,never seen snow,no rust.runs good at the track, I even added The Knight Rider lights this winter,Asking $7,200 that's a steal.Selling because I have another car now

Well even though it has some good parts on it the price is to high for that particular model. The third gen market is tricky. I have had 3 3rd gens in the last few years. The cars that bring in the 7 grand range easy are 350 tpi cars that are unmolested. Most of your run of the mill cars, your tbi, crossfire and pre85 carb cars just don’t bring a whole lot of money at this point.


In general a lot has to do with the above and the modifications you’ve done along with it needing some paint work. People are a lot less likely to buy a car that looks good but needs some mechanical that they can as opposed to paint which most people don’t want to mess with. Also people who are interested in a third gen that has had work done generally are more looking for a ls swap car or something more of that nature then a carbed 383. Also it’s been a cold spring so far which I’m sure isn’t helping.

Truthfully with the way the 3rd gen market is now that is probably a $4000-$4500 Car at the moment. It might do a bit better in the warmer weather.

Well its only been a week.
Its been a cold spring so people arent out buying, or they are being far more careful with their buying.
and then there is the opinion above, which I kind of agree with, and the entire logical fallacy of "i put X amount of money into this, so it should now be worth base + X"
