I drove by this used car lot and this caught my eye. These things were everywhere way back when I was getting my license. Great looking cars! Maybe the best looking car in '77. Check out the interior. Low mileage, fair price.

This one even still has it rear bumper. Most had a 2x6 piece of wood back in the day. :ROFLMAO:

I just had another flashback. A coworker of mine when I worked at Jiffy Lube had a puke green one, possibly a 442, and we would rotate doing reverse neutral drops, laying down ATF in the parking lot for a smoke show. Then the auto glass guys would yell at us for making them slide through the lot  Oh to be 16 again.

It's usually 80s Mustangs that get credit for the "porno red" interiors. That thing definitely has a porno red interior.

I do dig the garnet red metallic of the exterior though. That's always been a good GM color. Loved it on the T-Types of the 80s too. Would totally do my van in that color.

It'd be a fun car to throw a turbo LS or a 455 into. Hell, maybe boost up the 350 some and call it a day. A T76 on that smog engine would work just fine with a few tweaks. Those cars also had the better tall spindles on em compared to 68-72 which makes getting them to handle easier. It also makes throwing 12" rotor B-body spindles on a cinch as well. At the weight of one of those I'm sure it'd be a welcome upgrade too.

^^^ This is what I remember a 1977 Cutlass front end to look like.

The one in the original post looks like a 1976 to me with the more squared off grille.

The '75's had round headlights and were easy to tell apart. The '78's were a completely different car.

Anybody know for sure about the square vs angled grille section? Like I said - I would have called the first car a '76.
