The pcm will set a SES light somtimes when you use a 160*. The 180 is fine to use it really all depends on your car and if it gets warm quickly.
some cars have lots of crap in there radiator/cooling system and keeps the car a little warmer.

My 98 has had a 160 in it since before I owned and never set an SES. Maybe the year makes a difference on wheither or not it does that?
