Hiding on what looks like a mostly-stock Charger body are some astouding and subtle custom touches, like the smooth fade from bare carbon fiber to black paint as you move your eyes back along the car's length. And the exposed carbon fiber is the real deal, too: The front bumper, fenders, hood, and back bumper are made completely from the stuff.

Beneath the hood lurks a big and nasty 9.0-liter twin-turbocharged Mercury Marine boat engine, good for 1650 hp and mated to a Tremec six-speed manual. And nobody will mistake the Tantrum for just another janky hotrod. The Tantrum's interior is far beyond anything offered from the factory, and paired with the attention to detail everywhere else, it's easy to imagine it as one hell of a daily driver.
