Got everything wrapped up today. Probably have 80 hours of work into. At least 20 hours of wiring!

After getting this project all together, it still only had 2 miles on her. So, I decided it would be a good idea to break it in at Bad Lands in Attica, IN before our big trip to the U.P. the weekend after. Break in consisted of a 5 min warm up, and about 1 mile out of the parking lot into the park. After that it was full throttle, who was I kidding...I couldn't take it easy with this thing! First impression was shocking! This thing pulls hard up top! Ended up using about 6 gallons of gas in 4 hours! [emoji16] Heavy left foot!

Only decent pic I have from the day.

After lunch wasn't as great as the morning...coming up the side of a hill I must have clipped a rock and slashed a quarter size hole in the side wall of the tire. Tried to plug the tire with about 6 plugs. It was still leaking. Not the first thing I wanted to see after 20 miles on the turbo rzr. Ended up packing it up for the day and called it quits.

After my "break in" was complete. I thought it was a decent idea to change the oil and purchase a new rear tire to get ready for our first 4 day long trip of the year in the U.P. Think of it as TCG tour, without cops, fueled with a fuck ton of beer. Basically a 4 day long binger on wheels.

Loading up my trailer on Team Duramax. Was a little concerned the new turbo wouldn't fit with 2 other quads since it's a bit longer than my old rzr.

Not even a inch to spare.

Short 6.5 hour drive and we see the the golden goose.

Unloaded and hit the trail. About 3 into the ride, lightning sticks twice. UN FUCKING REAL! The same tire I JUST replaced!

To my amazement, we got it patched back up and it held air. Thank god.

Following day we decided to hit the trails hard. We sometimes pass through a area known as the swamp but usually de tour around. I know what's in there. Mud unlike any other mud. This is a fucking swamp. Nothing but winching. For some messed up reason we decided to tackle this beast of an area. Basically for 6 hours, we only went 2 miles. One quad would go and get stuck, winch it out, so on and so forth.

Weekend following our big trip my friend invited me to Silver Lake sand dunes in MI (Detroit side) for some sand riding. I've never been to the dunes, I was excited and a bit nervous to be honest. I guess I didn't know what to expect. Any how, for this trip I found a group buy on the rzr forums for a tuner and clutch weights. The tuner would up the boost to 16 psi from the factory 11. Clutch weights would move the power band down from more top end to more mid range. If this rzr was fun enough, it was about to get even better.

Tuner is on a Bully Dog platform, flashed with Bike Man performance tunes. He does a lot of sled stuff and kinda just got started in the rzr world. I popped for the stage 3 tune. Highest boost I can run on pump gas. Should add about 35 HP to the tires. They have race tunes for upwards of 21 LBS but I didn't want to run E85 or race gas.

First impressions of the stage 3 tune and clutch weights. Fuck me running. The dunes are gonna be a blast!! Pulls hard all the way up top! They removed the max speed limiter. Reports is, this will top out over 100MPH. Down right scary. I've done 78MPH before with this turbo. That was enough. They also remove the reverse speed limiter and turn the cooling fan on at 185 instead of 200 degrees.

After doing my pre flight inspection on the rzr. I noticed yet again the left rear tire had a funny angle. Found I bent the shit out of the trailing arm. Probably from when I was stuck in that mud hole. This was 3 days before I was suppose to leave for silver lake. A quick check on eBay showed a matching blue trailing arm located in AZ. Called the company and had it 2 day shipped.

So Silver lake was about 3 weeks ago. On Memorial Day weekend me and the GF went to a friends lake house in WI. I was about 1.5 hours from our spot in the U.P. So we decided to bring the rzr with and stay 2 days at the lake house and go on a solo ride on Sunday and leave Monday morning. Nothing that interesting happened on our ride besides the fact that we hit a deer with the rzr after leaving the bar. Those whiskey shots at the bar probably wasn't the best decision on my part.

Deer jumped out in front of me last minute and I had no time do anything but hit the hooks. Basically just pushed the deer or the trail with the rzr. No damaged to the rzr (thank god) and the deer was probably alright but I could care less about the deer.

I've seen many of deer, moose, and bears but nothing that comes close to use. GF was shaken up and I made the hard effort to reduce my beer intake to 5 beers on the ride home from my normal 10.

So that brings us to today. We're packing up this weekend for another trip to the U.P. Leaving Friday after work and coming back Monday. Girls trip. About 6 machines, 4 quads and 2 SxS. 11 people total. Should be a shit show with some stories. I'll update as we progress!

Started to load up the machines last night. Pulled my buddy's 2007 Honda Rincon on the trailer and noticed his right rear wheel was not sitting straight. Ended up pulling it off the trailer and this is what we found.

https://vimeo.com/170169723

Wheel bearing was beyond shot. I told him let's pull it apart and see if Napa can cross the number on the old bearing. So I started to tear it down and he started googling for a replacement.

After I got the bearing out (in pieces) we think we found a bearing that would fit. Shot down to Napa and they couldn't match anything up. Tried calling everywhere for a aftermarket replacement and no one had it in stock. Called a few west coast Honda dealers to have the part next day shipped, no dealers had it in stock. Special order only. Called another friend with a Rincon and asked to "barrow" his rear spindle assembly. He was out of town in Florida for vacation.

At about 9PM last night we decided the Honda was gonna sit this trip out after we exhausted all options. I offered my spare rzr for this trip so he could still ride. Game on! Let's get a cooler and a GPS mounted ASAP and load them up.

Turbo rzr is 10 feet long, old trusty 900 rzr is 9 feet long. Trailer is 18' footer. Not sure how we got them to fit but we did!

Still on track to leave at 4 PM sharp for a awesome weekend of riding!

Should be enough beer for the weekend!
