1/4 Progression - Looking for feedback

Listed is my 1/4 mile time progression or better yet my near lack of.
Looks like my trap speed has took a decent hit in return of .1? Tune?
(Speed Inc as always) Trans? (2009 was a FLT Lvl3 and 2013 was a
refreshed trans service by FLT because I lost 3rd and 4th again)

What say you TCG Techs?

All done at Great Lakes Dragaway. All runs in 2009 are 3200
yank stall, Finish Line 4l60e Level 3 trans., slp cold air intake kit,
and hooker catback exhaust with 3.23 gearing on 16x8 Wheels
and 245 tires. The two runs I have listed most recent (2013) have
all mentioned earlier with an addition of an exhaust swap of Kooks 1 7/8
Headers, High flow catted Y-pipe, Dual Dual SLP LM2 catback, and new
275's on 17x9.5 wheels.

Any dyno numbers or graphs to share? Something doesn't add up for a header/LS6 intake/stall car. Unless that day in August was 100 degrees outside with high humidity. When was the last time the tune was looked at? It could very well be a maintenance issue like knock sensors, fuel filter or similar considering the age of these vehicles now. I had an early run knock sensors on my 98 go bad and picked up 4/10ths once the knock issue was fixed and the car was retuned.

No dyno numbers or graphs unfortunately. Replaced fuel filter recently. Tune wise, I've only had Speed Inc
basic tunes for stall/tq management and such. I don't know if I have been imagining it but its like sometimes
when I gun it the car is faster than other times.

im guessing street tires, how do you launch it, I would think it should 60' better with a converter

Yes, street tires. An odd thing I have noticed is that the last time
I went the strip after the headers and such, the car felt like a dog
getting out the hole. Maybe its because my previous tires were bald
and 245's and spun like crazy until I hit 2nd.

something is wrong with the tune. I went 12.70's with a 6-speed on my stock 17" SS wheels with headers, exhaust, lid and a tune. I don't see why you shouldn't be 1/2 second faster. I've heard nothing but good things about that Shane guy on here who tunes. Let him look at the tune.

Unfortunately I am in Italy right now but I will be back stateside come August 2016 roughly.
I believe I should be quicker even with my not so great 60ft's. Yes, I have heard Shane is
the go to guy. Are we talking sending him my PCM or getting something to log and upload
my data? I would really like to do a Cam swap and dyno tune come summer when I get back.

The MPH isn't far off a stock A4 car. There's definitely room for improvement in the tune.

Sometimes I just want to swap my 4l60e for a T56. I bought
my car used and abused with roughly 100,000 miles and then
the trans lost 3rd and 4th. Then I bought a FLT Level 3 and that
lasted 20,000 miles. This transmission better last at least another
20,000 miles. I think I put less than 4,000 miles on it so it better
not be my transmission. I still think I should be trapping 107-109 ish.

Agreed. My 98 went 12.8 @ 106 mph with just a 3600 stall, LCA and a tire plus 2.73 gear and 1.8 60 foot. Would expect more mph for a header car. I'm betting more on a maintenance item than anything but you'll need to get it hooked up to a scanner and see what's going on with timing, fueling, etc.

I should have bought a HP tuner or EFI Live. Guess it's time to look at classifieds on TCG/LS1TECH.

I'm sure you could do either. If you own HP tuners just log a run and email it to him. He is located near St Louis so you could bring the car down there for a dyno tune if he finds that the tune is way off. Its only a 4 hour drive or so for me.

Your 60ft times are killing your ET, I do 109-110mph with 1.78 60ft with similar mods and 17inch. Drag radial. What's your suspension mods? Lowering springs? In my case I could never get a descent 60ft with lowered cars.

I'm on street tires and stock 130,000 mile suspension.
I am actually not a fan of lowering my personal vehicle.

That's not too far actually. I've been to ST Louis as that is the
shipping port for the middle of the United States for vehicles
for me. I'll probably wait for a cam swap first and then get a
dyno tune sometime in summer/fall 2016 hopefully.

Lol @13.7 @ 107 .

I was in that 1/4 mile time with 99 mph . Your 60' is killing you . You either need a better tire , or you're not coming off the line hard enough half throttle or something . Thats a high 12 sec car for sure .

Best 60ft that I've had was the 1.863 which isn't too bad for stock suspension on street tires. I still think it is a bit of a dog off the line. I basically either foot brake it with some rpms off the line or just plain stomp it.

Anyone think it could be my stall ???????

A basic tune will only remove torque management, change shift points and delete the rear O2 codes. Ill bet its something stupid like a bad sensor with the mileage you have on the car. To get all you can out of the car you need a full dyno tune. Jim a Speed Inc. is by far the best LS tuner in the midwest.

I know LS motors make power differently than my Coyote powered mustang, but even with the 1.9 60 foot, that trap seems low for the ET.

DEFINITELY room for improvement with a tire, but like a few others have said, something sounds wrong with the car.

I agree. I hope it's something simple. Trap being lower with more mods don't make too much sense to me.

I agree with the peeps who posted prior, seems like you can improve somewhere maybe in launching, and the tune for sure.

When I had my T/A I went 12.8 @106 mph on SLP lid, headers, no cats, and magnaflow exhaust and a Frost tune.

Funny thing is I got a mail order Frost Tune and he accidently
gave me a manual trans tune. Found this out when I put it in
and I had only what seemed like 3rd gear and my mph was like
2-3 times as high as what gps verified. He paid for shipping back
and front for my correct auto trans tune. But this was like a year
ago and I don't think it did anything to my Camaro, at least I hope
it didn't do anything negative for the short time I had that tune in
use.

I still have his tune on my other PCM but I don't use it as I think
the trans shifts are a bit too firm for my taste.

All I know is that my car is running a bit too rich with Speed Inc.'s
tune but that will be sufficient until I get back to the states and
do a cam swap and dyno tune hopefully.
