07 Escalade Taillight Question

A co worker of mine has a 2007 Escalade and has an issue with one of her tail lights. The light will illuminate when the brake is pressed but it will not glow when the headlights are turned on. This only happens on the drivers side.

Is the taillight just a bulb that needs to be changed or is it an led strip? Could be a wire issue or fuse maybe? I am not familiar with these taillights, so any information would be helpful. Thanks dudes.

LED's. 30 or so of them. I mean, you could take it apart and look for any circuit burns on a board and what not, but probably just cheaper/easier to replace. They weren't really meant to be serviced TBH. That doesn't mean you can't mind you.

There is a guy who fixes taillights on eBay for gmc and caddi for cheap. I had a Denali I had too have a taillight fixed.
