Ok, so at 220,000 miles my motor jumped timing. Chain was replaced at 168k. Either I buy a motor from another 06, or i was looking into 06 Accord k24a1's. Are there any major differences besides intake manifolds? I can put the CRV intake on it.

Stock ECU should have no troubles, right?

Thoughts?

Model to model there are sometimes wiring harness and sensor differences, they aren’t quite as plug and play as they were back in the 90s IIRC. There may also be a compression difference (car being higher than the SUV)

That being said; if you pull the harness/injectors/sensors off the CRV longblock id suspect/hope the ECU would compensate.

Yeah, the engines are super similar but there's small details here and there that might make putting the cheaper motor in it more expensive in the long run. For ease of operation I would just buy what goes in there and swap it out.

I love people that off things at 100 or 200k. This truck is still running out in Michigan. I sold it with 390k, one clutch, one set of injectors. Factory sealed trans and engine lol.

Wow, thats crazy. I've gotten a number of engines/trans from them. Most of the stuff looked really rough. One engine was sitting in a mud pit for a few years before I got it. But all of their stuff works. Looks like you got a decent one!
I sure hope so. It was a running auction car.
