New long term project... 2004 CTSV roller, wrecked in the front end and previous owner took the LS6 and t56 for another project.

I picked up an L83 from a 2016 silverado with supposedly 83k miles and an unknown early 2000's 4L80e that i will go through before installation.

-replaced dash with junkyard dash due to airbags blowing up
-sloppy 5 lug swap with camaro SS rotors and base cts hubs
-Using Speed-Engineering shorty swap headers in a down and forward fashion (cant flip headers on the gen v engines like you can on gen3/4)
-Swapping to port injection for a hybrid gen5/4 setup using an ls7 intake and removing the DI system
-custom motor mounts to adapt from the GMPP 4 and 5 wide bolt pattern to LT1 pattern
-Texas Speed Stage 3 cam kit ordered, 222/230, 112lsa, .635 lift
-DOD delete ordered
-Leaning towards a vsracing next gen 7875 turbo, but open to suggestions on larger turbo
-Undetermined torque converter, but in talks with Ryan Jans on that
-Will run a Terminator X Max

Started pulling the L83 down to the short block. This engine supposedly had 80,000 miles on it, and i believe it apart from some sludge here and there.. all of the cylinder walls are beautiful.

Cam kit is supposed to be delivered today, so im going to get everything cleaned up this week, gap the rings this weekend, and get it put back together next week when the head bolts arrive.

Engine got torn down, rings replaced/gapped to be more boost happy, cam swapped, light sludge cleaned up, oil feed and return figured out for turbo, and all buttoned back up.. Hoping to finish my mount adapters this afternoon and get it sitting in the car today.

I am waiting on my injector dummies, alternator, and throttle body clock ring to show up today and tomorrow too

Also contemplating buying that 80mm t4 turbo that VSRacing has on sale or saving and purchasing the terminator x max setup earlier than

a little more progress for the night..
--engine needs raised at least 1/2" if not a full inch.
-----the oil pan is sitting on the steering rack right now.

--cowl will need modified.
--battery will be relocated to the trunk, so no need for battery tray to live in back passenger area of engine bay

Past those points, space seems tight, but plentiful..

have any pics of the motor mounts ? have an idea
I essentially took an ICT Billet ls6 to 4 bolt ls adapter, traced it on paper, and had a local shop water jet the tail pieces from that. Then i had them weld the tail pieces to a dirty dingo LT to LS conversion mount.

In hindsight, it would have been easiest just to have the whole thing waterjetted, but at that point, i couldnt return the dirty dingo mount, and welding cost was negligible.

I did splurge this morning and purchased the Holley LT swap pan instead of raising the engine. I want to try and keep the flat hood any way possible. Number one, only one company makes a cowl induction hood of any decent clearance and it is 1300 bucks.

I am hoping to catch the VSRacing sale at the end of the month and pick up a turbo too

Few photos.. engine sitting pretty in the engine bay with no oil pan. Looks like the holley pan will do nicely when it arrives. I will need to cut structure out of the hood to clear, and make some bracing for the alternator.. I hope to order the turbo on the 30th and catch someone with vs racing sales still going on

i see caddy pulled a ford trick with the abs lines lol , denmah denmah would get a kick out of that . curious on your thoughts on how you are going to do your hot side

The abs lines are a pain in the ass.. I might gather the v6 lines, which would relocate the module tight against the passenger side..

Going to be tight, but planning on going down and forward, placing turbo in front drivers side fender area, then have a low drivers side bumper exit exhaust.. I bought an s475 earlier off another slop, so let the cutting commence once it arrives.
