Sooo, couldn't wait any longer for my '94 cobra to be done, needed my fix lol. As seeing how my other turd box is moving away from 'street car' manors, I wanted something I could take out to shows, cruise, and just enjoy. I do plan to fuck this car up, so for any Shelby purists, this thread will not be your friend. I'm not a big road race guy, been there, and done that with some of my older cars. While fun, I like my short burst, lame 1/4 mile racing that takes no skill (kidding). Some may remember me, some may not, for those that do, you know what's coming lol.

I picked up the car a few weeks ago from Fargo ND, was a long trip but worth it. Car is bone stock, with 2600 miles on it. It's a lead foot gray, strip delete car, babied its whole life. Heres some pics from that journey. Left at 7am, got back at 3am that night. Was so tired, just pulled the trailer in the garage with the car and said fuck it lol.

Double check that that is d o t tubing with the white teflon inner liner.

I deal with pneumatic solenoid systems that use those and the on and off pressure repeatedly moves them enough that eventually they don't like to release or leak.

I thought everyone used braided and jiff tite style dry break stuff nowadays. This is the first I've seen using pushlock on a clutch system

Where did you get the coating done? Or could I drop off my kit to get coated? Or better for me just to take it there myself? I work right around the corner from you so it would just be easy for me to drop off there lol.

It might be better to drop it off, as my coater usually has a much better turnaround time for me, then just going to them.

Well good news and some bad. Got the car finally done, but ran out of time to get on the dyno with it. While heading out for the track, car just wasnt feeling right, and noticed fueling was off between 20-30% logging it on the ride. Turned back around so i could figure out why this is, as the only actual change would be the injectors. This is the same tune i ran previously, same fuel out of the drum(Fresh drum) and fuel pressure exactly where it was prior to going bigger pumps and feed. My only thought is the injector data didnt take right, or would have do a stock reload, tune rewrite and hope that is the fix. Due to that, i called it a no go till i can make sure everything is 100%

Got the clutch slipper hooked up, pulled the bap for the stock pumps and got the rest of return setup in, hiding it all out of side as much as can be. Really happy i decided to go with gloss black on the cold side.

Well, it was what i suspected, injector data got corrupted when i transferred it over. Carried the data file over from a different customer file with the same ID1300x2 and fuel trims are back spot on. Guess ill get some dynos numbers today, see what it makes on 15psi. Last dyno session, car was at 10-10.5psi, so 4.5psi more then when it made 950whp. My dyno is off from before though since i added load unit, numbers are 10% lower at the moment till software gets updated

So while the manual trans comes out for some upgrades, gonna do some fitment for the Th400. This way if i do pull the trigger on throwing the 400 in, its as smooth as can be. I ordered in a spare console to do fitting of the shifter, as i would rather not destroy the original console. All the shifter plates for the S550 mustang make you cut the floor, which i aint doing, fuck that. I ordered in one from JPC to use a hurst, as well as Mike Thomas fab to use an MM shifter, just cant bring myself to do it. So gonna roll with getting the PPP unit in and my own mount setup. It can be air shifted, so gonna fab some kind of CO2 setup under the console lid. It can be activated right through my boost controller, same as with my clutch slipper valve, so just a simple wire and software change.

Ive been debating that shifter, the M&M and motion. Ill have to get your feedback when you get it installed!

I've used the PPP in the past with other customers builds, which is why i went with one myself, as they ratchet nicely. The MM is also a very nice shifter, but no first hand experience using it. If i do end up getting the Th400 before you grab a shifter, your welcome to come check it out.

Awesome, I appreciate it! I reallllly dont want to swap shifters as I love the feel of my Hurst, but for the track I feel like its become necessary to let holley take the wheel for my shifts

Yeah, thats kind of where im at too. If i do go auto, i want it be consistent passes, over and over. Its easier to dial in cars, and tweak areas when shifting for example is kept almost exact every time.
