I mean if it comes to it I was just going to install a terminal disconnect, but I was hoping to fix the root cause.

The BCM I could see being an issue, I believe for those cars it's not un-common, but the PCM I don't think is a common issue. That style PCM was used across most w-body's from that era, as well as other model cars.

The PCM could relatively easily be replaced with one from a vendor that offers a "tuned" OEM PCM.

Wbodystore.com for example sells one.

So you've found the exact circuit that's drawing the amps? I know you've narrowed it down for the heavy duty fuses but should be able to narrow down further from the other fuse blocks. Exactly how much is the draw?

As for the ecm/bcm I'm assuming you wait 5 min's to make sure the ecm settles into it's rest mode.

at this point id start with the bcm diagram and see which components on it are easily accessible and/or "deletable" to eliminate them as being the draw. stuff you wont readily be able to test youll just have to move to the bottom of the list to investigate later on.

beyond that its a float charger or a battery disconnect.
