Okay, so the Perez penalties... I have to give Red Bull kudos for what they did, but in the same breath, if they "retired" the car, they shouldn't have been allowed to send it back out. The penalty should somehow be applied regardless, whether it's loss of points, or whatever. Can't really apply it to the next race, since it is a completely different race. But again, that is what they used to do when teams would exceed their parts allotment. Drivers were getting 20-30 grid place penalties, so why not for this as well? I mean, Perez didn't just shit the bed, he dragged the soiled sheets through the whole house.

Feel bad for Bottas, he really got screwed this weekend.

I would like to see less instructions from the pit wall to the drivers, they really need to be able to figure out how to race/drive on their own. Tell them if the car is about to grenade, or track issues, but when it comes to strategy (i.e. tires) and position, there shouldn't be any chatter. Let the drivers talk to their teammate, and make sure it is an open mic

Imo Perez has one year left, then they’ll boot him to give helmut someone younger to beat up

He’s still #2 in the championship but he’s for sure very inconsistent, and getting worse

Unless he has something written specifically into his contract, is there any reason RB can't just send him down to AT, and bring someone from AT up? They did this with Kvyat/Albon. Imagine if Ricciardo came back for the next race, only to get bumped up to RB for the remainder of the season, lol. RB already wrapped up the constructor's championship, and it's pretty obvious MV is going to take the driver's title, so demoting Perez wouldn't hurt them too much. Perez is already starting to "torpedo" other drivers....

Stroll, WTF? Did he shove/hit the dude trying to calm him down? That was just behind the lockers, so couldn't see what his actual action is. Better hope he didn't physically shove someone, he'll be out of a seat before the race starts. Even if he just threw his gear, do that in your trailer, not in the garage where your team can see it.

But jesus WTF was Hamilton thinking. And even through all that Russell still managed 4th. Meanwhile Perez, who started in essentially the same position as Russell was in after that incident....... If both Mercs had been in that race..... And I cant even imagine the physical strain this race put everyone under. Poor Sargent. I'll give him credit he hung it out as long as he could, but I'm glad he made the right choice to stop when he did.
