    3800 I did a thing, kinda

Oh, hell yeah. The induction noises this engine makes are too good to ignore. And if I have to, I can upgrade it to OBD2.

Yes, Atlanta. So when I say rust-free, even the factory exhaust is rust free! It has some weather seal and paint issues to correct, and we think it dropped the cam magnet, so some work to do. But I think this one is destined for Power Tour this year.

Ight. I had my fun, I remember back in the old forum days when we would get these going for like 5 pages over a few weeks, lol. So, here it is: 1987 LeSabre Limited. Rust free. LG3. Something like 80k miles on it. I should probably explain why this is such a big deal to me. This...

You spelled pieces wrong. But yes, exactly like that.

    3800 I did a thing, kinda

I have an '87 BLT already, a GN would be cool, but there is only one car that could possibly tickle the way this one does for me. It's offsetting a '67 Lesabre, '87 BLT, my '92 Trofeo, and my '92 Regal beater plans.

    3800 I did a thing, kinda

It's definitely a Buick 3.8, as if there was any other 3800 ever. You might have to dig a bit deeper into my forum history to figure this one out.

    3800 I did a thing, kinda

I have been told, it's not technically a "3800" by many that can't explain the functional difference.

    3800 I did a thing, kinda

Ok, so I didn't exactly do a thing, somebody did a thing for me and it was quite the surprise. So, of course, it's completely changing up my game plan for this next year. I will say its likely the only thing that could re-prioritize an entire year for me. Also, it's stuff like this that is...

👋 INTRO Seeking refuge from Facebook

I'm actually gearing up for some shennanigans with my Olds Trofeo next: I have a series 1 L67 and 4T60HD for it. Nothing special by 3800 standards, but it's the way this car should have come from GM.

    3800 M90 Montana Van

Yep, still have, still daily it. Needs some regular maintenance again already, but I think ~30K miles will do that lol

Since my last L67 swap, I've been spending a lot of time just driving them lol

3800 Project: what is it doing? Cavalier L67 swap runs!

It's surprisingly addictive to drive. Though, I will have to post some updates on 3D printed parts under the hood with results from 2022 power tour (100 degrees out).

3800 Project: what is it doing? Cavalier L67 swap runs!

Yeah, first off, sorry, I've been just swamped over here to the point where I can't even anymore. I don't even know where I got started with seeing that Sean dude's stuff, I think I got tagged on it by a PBC friend, Whole lots of drama stuff happened after I watched the car drive out of my...

🔧 BUILD The seemingly never ending GTO project.

You know what I hate? God damn side-by-side of the new exhaust that shows just how crappy the old one was. I feel like we cobbled this exhaust together more so than the traditional ebay cavalier kit.

3800 Project: what is it doing? Cavalier L67 swap runs!

Man, I didn't really want to do this, I wanted to let this go completely and focus on kids and life and shit. I fuxked up so hardcore, I can't even... Oh, shit, I agree!!!!! I have nothing to do with this anymore!!!

    Spotted tonight

Almost forgot about this one, 76 Unocal pace car. I think there was a follow up for the '87 with the updated front end as well. Attention to detail is interesting, the rear quarter windows and surrounding body work almost look like it rolled off the assembly line like that - the top of the...

    Spotted tonight

I know something about everything about these cars, depending on who asks and how much beer I drank before I answered. 1981-1989 or so saw nearly every Buick model with a "T-type" variant. I've personally only seen the Electra (PA), the LeSabre, and Regal. The Regal needs no introduction...

3800 Project: what is it doing? Cavalier L67 swap runs!

Lessons were learned. Hopefully to the benefit of anybody that wants to 3800 swap anything, with unique solutions to the not-well-documented hurdles. I still remember the first time somebody on an internet forum told me "I xxxx fell out of my chair." :ROFLMAO: I always wondered, if they...
