The adults had a fire Saturday. So the kids decided to build their own fire next to the fire pit Then they decided to make their own benches out of logs and wood planks and a nice rock surround for their "pit" as well 😂

A guy I work with, this is his cousins son. He said he's met this kid a bunch of times and he was totally normal. Laced drugs or not, this shit is too close to home. This is why I stay at home often with my guns and dogs instead of going out. Also, not married to a crazy helps!

It's been too shitty outside to start on the actual coop. I have the wood set off to the side so I can start when it is nicer. Last night I got the brooder box made. Chicks ETA is a couple hours now, so updated pic tonight I'm sure. My kids are slowly losing their minds about these things...

Free range and hope for the best. My wife doesn't work in the summer, so that should help a decent bit. Planning on making a big enough coop and run where we can leave them in there for extended periods if need be as well.

So the fact that we are probably getting a dozen or so chickens is what prompted this as a place to put all of the shenanigans that happen "out west" here in Belvidere. Between having 5 large breed dogs, a few guinea pigs, a couple kids and a wife...I have no money left for a fun car any more...
