Want something to make you sick to your stomach? My bosses house is prob 1.2 million or so here in PA, has a 1000 bottle wine cellar and his taxes are 12,000 a year

I suspect it will be even higher than that. The house was just built so it’s getting it’s assessed value over time. That house should be built on like 2-4 acres, not downtown Naperville. Fucking gross

Wait wasn’t this just built? I thought I heard rumors this was the owner of weather techs house? Guessing not? Either way, no way would I pay 14 million to live 1 block from non stop partying in downtown Naperville.

That’s just Illinois in a nutshell. Zero fucking sense when it comes to taxes. One house 15k a year, few miles over cut it in half. I swear they used a fun wheel to pick what you pay.

It all depends where you are. I have over an acre of land in what I think is a nice custom home neighborhood and pay $9500 a year in taxes. Go over about 8 miles to Yorkville and you would pay 14k a year for the same thing.

I’d prefer to let a trusted realtor you have go over the pricing. Looking at what an aggressive price to list at would be vs what you should seriously consider if you were offered it. Those sites can be misleading sometimes. For instance my current home says it’s about 650k on Redfin. No idea...

Yuuuuup. We sold our previous home for 325k in February. Homes in that neighborhood are now being listed for 370k or so. Like are you fucking high? Brand new when they were built in the last housing peak it was like 270k and ur paying 370k for less than a 1/4 acre for normal builders type homes...

We had looked there as well. Our realtor highly recommended Heartland. Taxes were a little too high for my taste and we wanted an acre or more. The Yorkville area is exploding right now for sure.

I would agree. I love a ranch. Wife and I wanted to build one, but unfortunately it just didn’t make sense budget wise. To have the size and quality we have now would have been 700-800k in a ranch. I would have just like to see more custom finishes in that home. Hell my kitchen now would put...

Idk. I guess I just don’t see how that’s 900k of a home. Not one thing in the photos says high end. It looks like a normal 500k house you would find around here, just with a bigger garage and little bigger foot print. Or this is just a good example of a 600k house that cost 900k to build and...

I realize it was a little more dollar wise, but the home I posted was a million dollar home. It’s baller, total custom and just kick ass. The Indiana one is an everyday house you would find out here in nicer areas. Not one thing about it says anything more than 650k and that’s pushing it because...

That home in Indiana boo foo is posted for a million, I realize the home I posted below is 1.6 million asking price, but it’s 10 mins from me, in a desirable area. Few mins to Yorkville and prob under an hour to Chicago depending on traffic. So adjust the price a bit because it’s in the Chicago...

It’s a good looking house but no way it’s worth that. That’s a solid 650k house I would say in today’s market. Nothing about that says million dollar home. Standard rooms, underwhelming kitchen for the price, typical flooring nothing drop dead high end. Standard appliances etc, idk I’d laugh if...
