I know CC doesn’t want my opinion but why not just conventional loan? I just refinanced and wanted the government FHA( I realize this is a VA loan but prolly same BS rules) lower rates and broker said fugg them. Conventional so much easier.

You are right about them making the most of their education in whatever school they are in. I choose to live where the schools are rated better. I found a place we love with great schools. I am not sure why that is hard to understand?

My parents put me through private schools. I wanted the same for my kids but the tuition is absurd. The next best thing is a city with a good public school system. Not sure why you wouldn’t want the best for your kids???

$100k divided by 360 months is about $300 extra a month on the mortgage. Old balls advice: get what you want even if it means paying a little extra. You won’t care paying the extra if it already has the perfect garage or a pool etc....
