Fair points lads... I have a lot of towing experience, more than most on this website.

I'm not going to tow more than a few times every year, so I am a little under-trucked for that but am okay for the other 360 days. That said I have some interest in the 3.0 turbo Silverados, something like a Trail Boss.

Good luck, after you fix it you can look up trucks at Carmax and see what they offer. If the deal sucks then you keep it for a year that's what I've decided for you.

No way. I know folks at PE firms this is a career ending BK for some of the PE team.

2k + 2985 is 5k. truck is rated for 5k, and really can handle 7000 but I would not do it. I was gonna show you a pic of what I packed but I'll just hold that back until you say you are sorry.

There is no way the PE was planning for a 50/50 scenario like that. But clearly the failure here is a mix of doing too many deals (wonder if they were all cash) and bad financial management and planning by the leaership of the company.
