Impressive!!! When I flew out of Lansing my plane shared the large Associated Air hangar with the biz jets. Like you said they would roll up in car and park next to plane stairway load their bags and jet away lol That has to be the ultimate in speed and convenience for air travel. Back then it...

I haven't been since I was a kid but now you say this I am looking forward to going back to the Smithsonian Museum sometime soon. Sort of along similiar lines Kermit Week's Fantasy of Flight (since closed) was an immersive experience because not only does he own each plane in collection (largest...

That aircraft was a game changer when it came out and still is in it's own league. The brother's original design aircraft (VK-30) is really innovative and there is one at the EAA museum.

I got his from Wikipedia: "An F-104 Starfighter on loan to MSI from the US Air Force since 1978 was sent to the Mid-America Air Museum in Liberal, Kansas in 1993." Going on Mid-America Air Museum website I...

Who remembers the F-104 that used to hang from the ceiling of the Museum of Science and Industry? It wasn't far from the upper floor and I thought I could see everything was basically intact as a kid. I recently went and see it is gone but the older prop planes are still there.

It (Wright Patterson) had the most military planes inside that I can recall ever seeing. I also want to go back to the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum, the last time I was there I was just a kid with my parents.

I never knew they had a military aircraft museum there. I will have to check it out someday. Anybody been to the USAF military museum in Dayton Ohio? I was there a long time ago and spent all day snapping pictures of airplanes.
