You'll have to excuse the fragmented nature of this thread (or what I assume will be fragmented). I've got a lot of thoughts floating in my head but none are organized...so I'll update this throughout the evening as I put thoughts to virtual paper. Don't worry, this isn't a "save TCG!" thread or we need to do better, blah blah. But its more me taking charge of a part of my life and making sure TCG is alive and well for years to come.
This all cropped up as I continue to watch more and more FB groups explode with members, making what seems like money hand over fist, with none of them being overly special. Thats not to say they arent filled with good people, good ideas, etc. But it just proves to me that TCG's growth or lack there of, primarily falls on me for screaming "we need to evolve!", while not evolving myself.
It also brings up a huge mistake I've made over the years....I've always said TCG needs to remain a hobby for me and not a business. Because if it becomes a business, I would end up hating it. But why can't it be both? Why was I so against combing the two? No idea...but I'm going to remedy that. And I want to include everyone from TCG in whats to come. You can choose to benefit from the upcoming changes by just continuing to support like you do or choose to be a part of it, boots on the ground, helping us become something more. I'm happy to have you either way. Both sides play their part.
I'm motivated and I need to not let it go to waste.
Below, I'm going to reserve a bunch of posts and start going over everything rattling around in this peanut side brain.
