Got started on the oil cooler today. Got it removed and cleaned everything up.

This piece of gasket was in the resivour. Not really sure what its from.

This piece looks like it was broken off for awhile. Can't find it anywhere.

First question. Flush the coolant side if the oil cooler out.. Catch it in a cup. Flush both ways. Report back.

As I dumped it out on the floor, a bunch of rust flakes came out. Looking inside, you can see there is crap built up in one side, assuming that's the inlet. I'll give it a flush... interested to see what's all in there.

That piece that's broken. I'm wondering if that's a contribution to the oil temp. That's a tstat

Thanks. A year ago, my Delta's were 3-5°. And literally overnight, they doubled. Maybe that's when it broke off.

From what I can find, Ford doesn't sell that part individually. Is this my only option?

Yeah. Red tractors give me anxiety, but I'll try to step foot inside for the sake of my Ford.

If it's not too difficult to find the part#, I could call them and ask.

Not available at least not on my end. Checked online and the parts picture varies from mine, which is fitting kine is 8 years old.

I mean you can try but they should be seeing the same parts pictures as I am online. You'd be asking for a VT365 oil cooler bypass valve basically.

I got the oil cooler reroute installed and also installed the base back onto the engine.

Bpd shipping was pretty quick. They threw in a koozie...I thought that was pretty funny.

I've done it once. And that was cause I did a cab off but the cab would go but 1 foot higher than engine. So we rolled chassis back to expose engine. Did my over night stud job and went on my way
